About This Item
This beautiful, Cherokee designed acrylic clock features feathers in rich shades of green, turquoise, deep red and yellow. The four feathers are arranged in the four directions, a motif common in Cherokee mythology and medicine and is often seen in basket designs and etched into pottery. The four directions play a prominent role in the Cherokee Stomp Dance rituals. Surrounding the four feathers are small red dots representing stations on the clock and larger yellow dots represent noon, three, six and nine. The clock is 10.75 inches square making it the prominent enough to be a piece of stand alone art on a wall.
