About This Item
This Mother and Child lumbar pillow is both gorgeous in image and color. A true conversation starter. Printed vertically is a beautiful image of a Cherokee woman and child reproduced from a vintage 1930’s postcard depicting life on the Cherokee reservation. In the image, the baby is carried in a wrapped style common among Cherokee women into modern times. Many babies were carried over the Trail of Tears in this manner. Printed horizontally on the other side is the Cherokee word for mother, pronounced Oo-nee-chee, written phonetically. You can’t go wrong, either side is a unique work of art.
